"To Town"(C) 10-9-2007
 Into our car and 
down our driveway we go.
Dad asks us "which way
shall we go to town?
Marshmellow way or twisty turny way?"
We laugh and choose our way.
We go the marshmellow way.
Off of our road and onto the next.
We pass our "marshmellows". 
They really are straw bales in a
white plastic type bag to cover them.
We pass them and continue to town.
What a fun trip to town.

"Clouds"(C) 10-9-2007
Watching the clouds
as they float on by.
One looks like a cat
looking back at it's tail.
While three others look like angels.
One standing, one sitting and the last kneeling.
So neat they are.
Then they float on
and change shapes.
Another looks like a wolf
howling at the moon.
And one looks like
a husky's head.
While another looks
like a cop directing traffic.  
And one looks like a man sitting on the ground.
So neat the clouds are.
And again they float on by.
And change shapes once more.

Clouds cover the sky
in a grayish color.
Sun's trying to poke through,
but having no luck.  
Birds chirping and fly around.
Ducks fly above in a "V".
Leaves are changing colors
and falling off the trees
to the ground below.
Look to the mountains
and see a hazy fog.
The temperature's still warm.
Unusually warm for October.
Butterflies and bees are still around.
Even flies are hanging around too.
It's so peaceful and quiet.
Hardly any sounds are to be heard.

"He is Grumpy"(C)3-23-2008
Hiss, hiss.
Growl, growl.
Meow,meow.
Slap, slap.
That is the sounds 
that come from my cat.
Slap, slap is from him
hitting my shoes with his paws.
He is grumpy and mad.
Why? I'm not  quite sure.
But hiss, hiss.
growl, growl.
Meow, meow.
That is the sounds
that come from my cat.
All through our walk,
through the yard.
I can't get too close to him.
He sure is grumpy today.

"The Meadow"#2(c)-May 2nd-5, 2005
I'm walking down the streets
to get to the meadow and I 
see a field of beets.
They are growing very high.

Also along the way
I see wildflowers growing
and they sway
from the wind blowing.

Once I get to the meadow, I take it all in.
And around and around
and around I spin
until I am dizzy and fall to the ground.

And while on the ground
I look up at the sky.
There is a cloud up there that is big and round.
And one that looks like a slice of pie.

Also I just lay on the grass
and continue looking up at the sky
and let the time pass
me by.

Then I get up and head
home and write
while in bed
about my wonderful night.

"My Best Friend"(c) Oct. 1,2004 
I have a Best Friend
who's always there for me.
No matter what time of day it is.
He never leaves my side.

He's always there right beside me.
He doesn't care what I look 
like or what I wear.
He doesn't care if I am rich or poor. 

I can talk to Him about 
anything and everything.
I love my Best Friend.
He's the greatest Friend ever!!

Went to a party the other night
and it seemed alright
at first, then turned into a fright
with everyone getting into a fight.

It's so beautiful out here.
There are dandelions all over the yard.
You can smell onion grass being cut in the air.
Birds singing up in the trees.
A gentle breeze blows and everything
sways back and forth.
Sun's shining down brightly.
Across the road,
the mountain trees are
blooming with green leaves.
All the trees are blooming
and leaves grow all over them. 
It's such a beautiful
site here out front.

Every night it's the same.
I wish on the first star that I see.  
But my wishes never
seem to come true.
I think why don't
they come true.

"Lost"(c) 2-26-2007
I'm lost in this town
I call home.
No one really knows me.
So I walk further away
and become even more lost.

I'm lost in a field
of cornstalks.
Miles and miles of cornstalks.
I scream for help,
but no one can hear me.

I'm lost on an interstate.
Miles and miles of nothing
but the road.
I try to flag someone 
down, but no one stops.

I'm lost in this
big world and no
one is around to help me.
To help me find my way
back to what I know.

 "The Red Balloon"(C)2-28-2007
A little boy had a red balloon
and held onto it tight.
He held onto it tightly
until he went home.
He went in to the house
and asked his mom for a marker.
Once his mom gave him
the marker, he wrote "I love You" on it.  
Then he went outside
and let it go.
It soared higher and higher.
His mom came out and
got tears to her eyes,
when her little boy said it's a present 
for his older sister in Heaven.

"The Cheetah"(c) 3-12-2007
Tan colored fur and black dots
is an animal who can
run really really fast.
It's called the cheetah.


I see it running through
the jungle very fast
in between all of the trees 
and then stopping to take a drink from the lake.

Then running very fast
to get back home to
his family and to supper.
Cheetahs are neat animals.

Rain coming down
so gently in a drizzle.
Falling on the 
nice and beautiful flowers.

Falling gently into
the creek and creating
little gentle ripples
in the water. 

Sitting on the patio
and listening to the
gentle rain hitting the roof.
So soothing and relaxing.

Walking through the yard
I watch where I walk.
I look down and happen 
to see something. 
It's soft and fuzzy.
It's also brown and black.
I pick it up and let it crawl
on my hand for awhile.
Then I put it down 
and continue walking.

"Haunted House" (c) 1-10-2007
Walking up the path
to the old beat up house.
Windows are broken in spots,
shutters either missing or falling off.
The house looks so spooky.
Outside the wind is howling.
Inside the house is one mess.
Cobwebs everywhere along with dust.
All the furniture have covers on.  
The stairways falling apart,
because it was made off wood.
Inside everything is creaking.
Kind of scary really.
Then moaning sounds come
throughout the whole house
and we run far far away!

"The Forgotten Toys"(c)2-25-2007
Down in the basement
getting all filthy by
dust and mold
are old toys that we once
played with, are now forgotten.  


Toy trains that went
along on tracks,
or dolls we use to play house with
or old board games 
and puzzles of 100 pieces.


We used to have so 
much fun with all
the dolls, games 
puzzles and much more.
They are all now the forgotten toys.

"The Meadow-#1"(C) 2004
 As I sit on the bench,
I look in the meadow.
There I see sheep flocking
and eating grass.

Also I see birds flying
to the ground and eating bird seed.
As I look past the meadow,
I see a pond.

In the pond I see ducks
just swimming in the pond.
There are four of them.

Then I come back to the meadow
and watch the sheep some more.
Then I get up and head home.
What a beautiful site this was.

Outside is a wonderful place.
It's so peaceful.
You can hear drip, drip
from the snow melting.

You hear birds chirping
and singing lovely songs.
Occasionally you hear
dogs barking and roosters crowing.

In the distance you 
can hear the traffic on the other road.
Also you can hear a train whistle
blowing and chugging along the track.

You can also see the snow on the
ground and bare spots where the snow melted.
You can see trees and a cornfield.
And clouds up in the sky.

But that is only where I live.
Outside is so beautiful 
here where I live.
And also very peaceful.

"My Favorite Tree" (C) May 17, 2005
I have a favorite tree.
It's big and shady.
It's bark(trunk) is brown
and leaves are green.
It gives so much shade and is so cool under it.
It connects into another tree.
Perhaps that's why it's my favorite,
because it's really shady.
And when the wind blows it's so cool,
I get the chills.
But I love this tree.
And I only discovered it 
was my favorite yesterday.

Poems

Ok, as promised, newness to Mystical.  Here are some poems I have written.  I don't usually share my work, for fear of people taking my work and using it as their own, but I figured I'd share them.  This way I can get some feedback on my writing.  I hope you all enjoy reading them, as I had enjoyed writing them.  Also if I have a date written behind the title, that means that's the date I wrote.  And if it don't have a date, I don't remember when I wrote it.  Only recently in the last few years, did I start writing the date when I wrote the poem.

"A Snowy Day" (c)February 22, 2004

 One night, it started to snow.

Light at first, then turned to heavy.

It covered the ground all white.

It kept up all night.

And even into the next day.

By noon, the next day it had stopped.

Kids went out to play.

Some built snowmen,

while others made snow angels.

Then some also went sleigh riding

and some even snowboarded.  

They all had lots of fun with the snow.

That was one snowy day.

"A Nature Hike"

As we take

our nature hike

we see such a 

beautiful site.

Especially now in the fall.

We take a walk

through the woods.

And we see beautiful

leaves changing colors.

Yellow, red and orange.

As we look around 

we see a creek

flowing with water.  

And see squirrels

running up trees.

And see them gathering up nuts.

And see birds flying above.

This is such a beautiful 

nature hike.

"Pain"(c) April 3,2005

I have a pain

in my back.  

It goes also into my heart.

It feels so sharp

like a knife.

It feels like when 

I get an ingrown toe nail

and the needle goes into

the foot to numb it.

So painful.  

It's like a headache

you can't stand to 

anything but sleep.  

Like a paper cut you get.

But then I just realize

that it is you

backstabbing me.

Telling someone something

I said about them.

A secret, but oh, the pain!

Jasper is my cat.

He is gray and tiger striped.

He is so cute and soft.

He loves to play with many things.

He will sit and lay on your

lap and fall asleep.

He will make you laugh.

 "Keeping My Heart True"(c)2006

I'm going to keep my 

own heart true.

I'm not going to let anyone

tell me what to do, 

or even what to wear. 

And I'm not going

to listen to people

who aren't my friends

of mine or even relatives of mine.

And I'm going to keep my heart true.

Also I'm not going to

let people talk me into

something that is wrong.

Or something that can

even harm my body.

Like I said before

I'm gonna keep my heart true,

and make my own decisions.

Newness is Coming to Mystical

So I decided, since I have two blogs here on blogger.com/blogspot.com(whatever you want to call this site) I'd make one a journal site where I write blog entries and the other I will dedicate to my poetry since I love writing and have so many poems I have written.  I have 4 journals filled with poems I wrote and then a 5th started.  I also had 2 different poems published into 3 different books.  One day I would love to have a whole book published with my poems in it.  But anyway...yeah..like I said, I ended up signing up twice and got two sites.  So one like I said I will use it as a blog site and the other will be a poetry site.  I hope everyone will enjoy reading my poetry. 

So yeah..Mystical will now be new and used only for poems that I have written mostly or if I come across one I really like and want to share it.  :)

Today

Today I was off.  It was nice and was good not to have to worry about running out of time to do anything and get things done before work.  Even though I really didn't do much today.  I was pretty lazy.  HAHA  I hate days when I get lazy and don't do much.  But then I guess working five days in a row, can grant a lazy day then.  But like I said, I really didn't do much.  I had Jasper out and we walked around.  Read my Bible, Bible Verses, Daily Devotional and my book.  Also some blogs by a friend.  I took a walk with my dad and our dog.  Fun.  That was about it really.  I also cleaned out some pen cups and got rid of the pens that didn't work.  Talked to my sister online.  It's nice to be able to talk to her.  Soon I will be getting off and watching some Supernatural. I love that show.

Somehow I have two blogs on blogger..and have been updating both.  Why I have no idea.  I guess maybe incase someone would come across either one and would start following it, but I really don't see it happening.  No one usually follows my stuff or even comments/likes my posts on facebook or anywhere else.  But I really don't want to get into all that detail right now.  Maybe another day.  Or later tonight.  Now it's time to watch some tv.(Supernatural).

Catchup

Let's see..what happened the last few days since I last wrote.  Well, re-reading my old entry..it was from the 10th.  So only four days has passed.  So not much has happened.  I was re-reading another one of my old journals.  I saw how I wrote about stuff, but not in detail or even write a person's name if I was talking about someone.  Like now I will write who I got what gifts from and if I am mad at someone, I write who it is and why.  But back then, I was pretty basic.  So even if I wrote about things and can go revisit the past through the journals, it still isn't completely there.  But you know what..that's fine.  I should really move on and leave past where it's just that..the past.  Why bring up old things and bring up who I used to be.  I came along way.  Although, a few things I seem like I haven't changed and would really like to change.  But for the most part, I do believe I am a better person.  Anyway...enough with that.  

I don't see the big deal with Valentine's Day.  I mean people seem to make a big deal out of it and spend way too much money on their other.  They just go crazy with the flowers, cards and gifts.  And maybe it's because I am single and am well..alittle lonely and feel like I'm not loved on this day and don't get any gifts.  Or even cards for that matter.  I mean I know Valentine's Day isn't just for the couples, but for everyone to let everyone they care about know how much they are loved and how much they mean to them.  Also I don't see why people make a big deal out of this one day.  I mean people should get little gifts or cards everyday.  Or even if they don't get cards and gifts, people should be reminded EVERYDAY that they are loved and cared for.  Not just one day of the year.  Oh, well.  Maybe it's just me.

I also been reading some blogs by this one girl on here and some of them are really good.  I'm not saying any are bad, but some are really good and stand out.  And they make me stop and think.  Think about how I have been and acted in the past and how I am acting today.  Also how I want to be in the future to come.  I mean I can't really think much about the future right now, because nothing is guaranteed.  I mean you can say you will do something, but only God knows what will happen and if what you will do, will happen.  So I must just think about now..the present.  And live for today.  Also I was reading some stuff which is good and something I want to practice and become much better at it.  Be happy with who I am and not try to be someone I'm not.  I know I am not perfect and will never be.  Also if God loves me with exactly who I am, well then why can't I be happy with who I am.  So I want to try and work on this.  I don't want to be perfect, because I know it will never happen, but I want to try my best every day.  Be the best person..the best Christian I can be.  And a person other people will like and God will be proud of.  So I must work on this alittle everyday.  Also learn to like myself, for who I am and be happy with who I am and be happy with how I look too.  There were more stuff that was good and I liked, but can't remember it all now.  But yeah..this was most of what is good and important to me.

I have worked the last five days and while yeah, it's been five days in a row, and it's been steady with people buying Valentine's stuff and I am not a fan of this holiday, it really hasn't been too busy.  Yeah, like I said it's been steady, but not too bad.  And I am so ready for a day off.  I am off tomorrow and I cannot wait!! 

Today is Valentine's Day..and I bought it myself, but from Jasper I got a Valentine's card.  And Reese's Pieces(my parents really bought them, but said they were from my cat. )  And from my parents I got a pack of 4 pens.  They write the color ink of the barrell they are in.  So there is a blue, pink, purple and green.)  :)  They are really neat.  So overall, so far this Valentine's Day really hasn't been too bad.
